2016 Matua Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc
A classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is deliciously pure, bursting with tropical aromas of grilled pineapple and passion fruit. The palate is zesty and concentrated with ripe citrus fruit, blackcurrant leaf and a hint of fresh basil. So refreshing, you’ll be left wanting more. This is the wine our viticulture and winemaking teams get really excited about - it showcases what the vintage has been like for Marlborough’s most famous varietal! We pick our Sauvignon Blanc grapes from over 100 vineyards across Marlborough, encompassing the Wairau and Awatere Valley sub-regions. So, the wine is always a complete expression of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc! In 2016, we processed the Sauvignon Blanc parcels at the winery in batches before cool fermentation in stainless steel with our “house style” yeasts. Then the wine was left to sit on light lees to build texture and a luscious mouth feel before final blending and finding its way into the bottle for you to enjoy!
2016 Matua Pinot Noir Rose
Refreshingly fruity, like a sip of summer! This is just our second vintage of Pinot Noir Rosé and it's packed with deliciously ripe summer fruits. We're talking fresh strawberries, mandarin and a hint of cranberry flowing through to a crisp, dry finish. To retain the vibrant fruit flavors, we carefully hand picked the grapes n cool conditions delicate bunch pressing at the winery. To make the aromatics really jaw dropping, we separated the juice in to small batches and inoculated them each with a different years. After fermentation and careful blending, we let some of the wine set on lees to give the rose something to really write home about with incredible texture and complexity.
2015 Lyric by Etude Pinot Noir
Pure ruby in color, the 2015 Lyric by Etude captures the essence of Santa Barbara Pinot Noir in its opulence of true red fruit. Rich in ripe cherry, red raspberry and fresh strawberry, this youthful Pinot Noir drinks complex with hints of cinnamon, cardamom, sandalwood and cola. Offering an elegant structure, silky tannins and a bright acidity, this pinot noir is captivating in its youth and makes a wonderful counterpart to a variety of dishes.
Stellina di Notte Prosecco
From the cool climate vineyards of Italy’s northern Veneto region, Stellina di Notte harvests the classic Italian grape varietals to create authentic, food-friendly wines for everyday celebrations. Made in a brut-style, the wine shows lovely balance, combining a crisp acidity with just a touch of sweetness. Tiny, light bubbles dance through the palate with bright citrus steps. Often served in Venice’s outdoor cafes as an afternoon pick-me up, Prosecco is perfect for lifting one’s day. Pair with hard, aged cheeses, prosciutto and figs, or serve as a classic Bellini with slices of peach.
