A Nashville native, Christa received a degree in Environmental Policy from UT Knoxville before heading west, where she spent five years learning and working on sustainable farms and in communities across Oregon and California. Her love for food exploded when the circle was closed between growing, cooking and sharing big meals on the farm. After heading back to Tennessee, she was excited to find a group of like-minded, food-loving friends at The Nashville Food Project. When she's not at work, Christa spends her time living and working on the farm she owns with her partner Todd, Sweeter Days Farm. There, she spends her weekends growing flowers & herbs, working to improve their local food shed, and, of course, cooking big farm dinners for anyone near enough to hear the dinner bell.
