Julia Reynolds Thompson, Director of Garden Operations

Julia grew up on the flat prairie of Texas but has loved the southern woods since seeing the Appalachian mountains as a kid. She settled in Nashville 14 years ago after attending the University of the South. Julia started volunteering on local farms to escape an office job and was hooked. Since then she has had the privilege of working with two experienced local farmers, Tana Comer and Tallahassee May. She is delighted to be growing food now for The Nashville Food Project, making new community connections, sharing knowledge and welcoming folks into the gardens. When not growing food, Julia loves trying new recipes, eating well and heading down a hiking trail with her wife Ashley.
