About Arnold Myint

Chef Arnold Myint is a Nashville native, restaurateur, and storyteller whose culinary journey bridges his Thai heritage with his hometown roots. Best known for his creativity, humor, and community-minded spirit, Arnold has spent his career celebrating the connections between food, culture, and identity.

A longtime champion of Nashville’s vibrant food scene, Arnold is the chef and owner behind beloved local concepts including Suzy Wong’s House of Yum and International Market, the restaurant founded by his mother, Patti Myint, that introduced authentic Thai cuisine to Nashville more than four decades ago.

Through his new cookbook, Family Thai, Arnold shares personal stories and recipes that honor his family’s legacy while inviting readers to experience Thai home cooking through a lens of love, laughter, and belonging. His stop at The Nashville Food Project marks a special celebration of that legacy, one rooted in food, family, and community.
