Celebrate Welcoming Week at Nashville’s newest farmers market!
Each year The Nashville Food Project hosts a community event in honor of Welcoming Week, a global campaign that uplifts the work in communities to become welcoming places for all, including immigrants.
This year we’re celebrating with a very special market Saturday, which will include:
A family-friendly mindful movement class with BeWell starting at 9:30am
A community storytelling project
Resources and information from some of our favorite community organizations
Special activities for the kiddos
And more!
And as always, you can also shop fresh produce including rare Asian food grown by refugees and immigrants from Burma and Bhutan, plus delicious goodies from other local vendors - fresh eggs, baked goods, sweet treats, cold drinks, and international hot food.
The market is open 9 a.m. to noon every Saturday from May 3 to Nov. 22 behind Christ Lutheran Church in Southeast Nashville. EBT benefits are accepted.
The farmers market is part of our Growing Together program. This effort engages farmers interested in growing produce to sell and building community. The Nashville Food Project helps people from agrarian backgrounds by offering access to land, resources, tools, training, and other assistance.
A small portion of the proceeds benefit The Nashville Food Project, a 501(c)3 nonprofit.
