2026 Thanksgiving Sides

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (November 6, 2026) – This Thanksgiving, Nashville residents can spend a little less time in the kitchen and more time around the table while supporting their neighbors. The Nashville Food Project is now accepting pre-orders for its annual Thanksgiving Sides Sale, offering a seasonal selection of scratch-made sides, desserts, and family feast packages prepared by the organization's catering team.

More than a convenient addition to the holiday table, every purchase supports The Nashville Food Project's mission to bring people together to grow, cook, and share nourishing food, with the goals of cultivating community and alleviating hunger across Nashville.

The 2026 menu includes holiday favorites such as Honey Glazed Carrots, Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Herb Stuffing with Cranberry-Orange Relish, Southern Gourmet Mac & Cheese with Garlic-Herb Crust, and Maple Bacon Brussels Sprouts. Seasonal desserts include Bourbon Pecan Pie, Praline Sweet Potato-Pumpkin Pie, and Pumpkin Spice Loaf.

For those hosting larger gatherings, Make It a Feast packages start at $99, with options for groups of up to 6, 8–10, or 15–20 guests. Each package includes a choice of three sides, fresh-baked yeast rolls, and dessert, with options to upgrade to premium sides.

"Thanksgiving is a time when so many of us gather around food, and we believe everyone deserves that experience," said Bianca Morton, Chief Culinary Officer of The Nashville Food Project. "Through this sale, families can share a meal made with care while helping us continue the work of bringing nourishing food and connection to more tables across Nashville."

This year, shoppers can also extend that care beyond their own holiday gathering through the Give a Family Thanksgiving option. A $75 contribution provides a complete, scratch-made holiday meal for a local family of four, prepared by The Nashville Food Project's Cook Team and shared through trusted community partners.

With the holiday season approaching, the initiative offers a meaningful way for individuals and families to support food access while celebrating the traditions that bring people together.

Pre-orders are open through November 18 at 5 p.m., with pickup available November 23–25 at The Nashville Food Project, located at 5904 California Avenue in Nashville. Customers may select their preferred pickup day during checkout.

About The Nashville Food Project

The Nashville Food Project was born from the belief that all people should have access to the food they want and need. In pursuit of that vision, we bring people together to grow, cook, and share food, cultivating community and working to alleviate hunger across our city.

In Nashville, one in seven people lacks consistent access to enough food to sustain a healthy lifestyle, while more than 40% of all food goes to waste. Hunger is not caused by a lack of food alone. It is shaped by systems. Poverty, unemployment, low wages, and rising housing costs all contribute to the challenges many of our neighbors face.

We believe food can be a powerful tool to foster health, belonging, and justice in our community. Through our kitchens, Community Agriculture Network, and partnerships across Nashville, we work to transform surplus into nourishment and connection.

In 2026, we will share more than 344,000 scratch-made meals and recover over 330,000 pounds of food, supporting after-school programs, immigrant communities, homeless outreach organizations, and many others across Nashville.

  • Grow — In our gardens, we grow organic food intensively, and share resources with others interested in growing their own food.

  • Cook — In our kitchens, we use recovered, donated and garden-grown food to prepare and cook made-from-scratch meals.

  • Share — In our community, we share nourishing meals in partnership with local poverty-disrupting nonprofits and community groups.

The Nashville Food Project embraces a vision of vibrant community food security in which everyone in Nashville has access to the food they want and need through a just and sustainable food system.
